Recovery Support
Recovery Support
At PHOENIX – Mental Health Australia, recovery support focuses on helping individuals rebuild confidence, identity, and independence while living with mental health challenges.
Recovery is not about “fixing” a person or removing a diagnosis. It is about supporting individuals to move forward in ways that are meaningful to them — at their own pace, and on their own terms.
Our recovery support is person-centred, strengths-based, and practical, helping individuals to:
-
Rebuild a sense of self beyond mental health challenges
-
Identify personal strengths, goals, and values
-
Develop confidence and self-belief
-
Increase independence and daily functioning
-
Build hope, purpose, and motivation
-
Strengthen decision-making and self-advocacy skills
-
Support is focused on what matters most to the individual, whether that is improving daily routines, reconnecting with community, rebuilding after crisis, or navigating life changes.
We work alongside existing clinical and medical supports where required, offering non-clinical, recovery-oriented assistance that supports long-term wellbeing, choice, and control.
